Aaron Lewis has called upon Staind and Shinedown's Brent Smith and Zach Myers to lead his 2014 Aaron Lewis & Friends concert to benefit his 'It Takes a Community' foundation.

Shinedown are catching a bit of a breather at the moment, but singer Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers of the always generous band are filling the time by giving fans not one but two collections of acoustic covers. The cover song is a big part of many band's repertoire and Shinedown's Brent Smith and Zach Myers recently teamed up to lay down several acoustic covers of their favorite songs. The result is a new EP titled '(ACOUSTIC SESSIONS)' that will be released under the moniker Smith + Myers via iTunes and at all digital retailers on Jan. 28.
