Tony Iommi, August 2009

Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi joined forces with fellow Black Sabbath bandmate and bassist Geezer Butler, the late great Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Vinny Appice on drums to form the group Heaven & Hell.

Heaven & Hell last toured in the States in 2009, before having to cut it short due to Dio's stomach cancer diagnosis.

Heaven & Hell is as close to a super group as there is and this photo of Iommi with a little smirk on his face is a reminder of the fun he seemed to be having on that tour.
