Vote for Best Rock Song – 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards
What a year it's been for rock music! We've heard a lot of great songs over the past year, which made narrowing a list for Best Rock Song down to 15 nominees as quite the task. But with these tracks, we've got a wide variety of rock songs that represents the year as a whole.
Acts like Kaleo ("Way Down We Go"), Zakk Wylde (with Corey Taylor) ("Sleeping Dogs") and The Pretty Reckless ("Take Me Down") found their inner bluesy side with standout cuts. You've got Highly Suspect ("My Name Is Human"), Deftones ("Prayers / Triangles"), Of Mice & Men ("Real") and in some ways Five Finger Death Punch ("I Apologize") going in a moodier direction.
A Day to Remember brought the heavy with "Paranoia," Wolfmother mined some classic sounds on "Gypsy Caravan," and acts like Alter Bridge ("Show Me a Leader"), Sixx: A.M. ("Rise"), Skillet ("Feel Invincible"), Volbeat ("The Devil's Bleeding Crown") and Rob Zombie ("Get High") all showed a knack for driving hard rock sounds with an anthemic feel. And finishing off the Rock Song nominees is Disturbed's moving rendition of "The Sound of Silence."
But only one can be crowned as the Best Rock Song in the 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Which one is up to you. So take a look at the nominees in the poll below and listen to the tracks in the players provide, then vote for your favorite. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10AM ET, so make it count.
