As stages go, the one in Tampa was just as good as any other for 3 Doors Down to debut a new song. However, this stage came with the platform to showcase their track to millions of viewers worldwide as it was part of the Republican National Convention coverage that's going on this week.

The song in question is called 'One Light' and plenty of credential-wearing audience members were on hand to catch the live debut of the track at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

At least 3 Doors Down picked a song fitting of the occasion as their new track features the chorus, "Come with me / Let's take this world and make a change / We'll give this / A moment we can take away / You'll see this / From eyes we always thought we're blind / If we could find just one light to shine."

While some acts have strayed away from tying their appearances to any sort of political affiliation, 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold stated prior to the event, “We are honored to be asked to play the RNC and are excited about our performance. We consider it a privilege.”

Kid Rock, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Camp Freddy, and Jack Blades are among the other rockers taking part in Republican National Convention week festivities.
