Adrenaline Mob have just unleashed a great new covers EP titled 'Coverta.' Now, the band is teaming up with Loudwire for a series of videos taking fans behind the scenes of the covers collection and we kick things off with this impressive video of the band in the studio tracking their version of Heart's 'Barracuda.'

Drummer Mike Portnoy tells Loudwire, "I always thought this was a killer song and would make for a great modern-metal update. I produced a demo for my wife's old thrash band Meanstreak back in the early '90s and they covered this but it was never released, so I thought it would be great one for us to Mob-up! There's very few male singers that could tackle Ann Wilson's incredible vocal range, but I had a hunch Russell [Allen] would kill it and sure enough, he did!"

Though the video spotlights all of four of the band's members laying down their parts in the studio, it's the amazing range of Allen and some wicked guitar work from Mike Orlando that really get the spotlight on this song. Meanwhile, drummer Portnoy and bassist John Moyer deliver a chugging beat that drives the track forward.

In the clip, there is also a mention of the 'Coverta' EP's release and a listing of Adrenaline Mob's tour dates, but it's definitely worth staying through to the end of the video for an extra surprise from Allen.
