Adrenaline Mob have recruited Erik Leonhardt to play bass for their upcoming trek, due to the absence of John Moyer. Leonhardt, formerly of Tantric, will take over for Moyer, who recently revealed he was not available for the run.

Adrenaline Mob formed in 2011 and have dealt with a few changes along the way. Former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy left in Jan. 2013 when scheduling conflicts became an issue and he was eventually replaced by A.J. Pero of Twisted Sister fame.

Then, eariier this month, bassist Moyer informed fans on Facebook and Twitter that he would not be joining the band on their upcoming tour, which caught his bandmates by surprise. He quickly attempted to clear the air by saying the band knew about his departure for weeks. The bassist expressed his uncertainty over whether the communication breakdown would lead to a permanent change.

Moyer, who has been a member of Disturbed since 2004, also has filled in with Geoff Tate’s Queensryche (soon to be known as Operation: Mindcrime) when Rudy Sarzo is unable to perform. He is also busy producing albums for Wretched Sky, Favor the Fall, Warrior Spirit and Ascending From Ashes.

Adrenaline Mob released their second album 'Men of Honor' back in February. They'll kick off their new leg of dates with special guests Bad Seed Rising beginning Aug. 22 in New Haven, Ct. See their shows below and check out a tour teaser video here.
