The music video art form is alive and well, as you can see in the first of a two-part clip for Alesana's new song "Comedy of Errors," which is exclusively debuting here at Loudwire.

In the player above, you'll see that director Justin Reich and the group use the video as a storytelling device, offering a futuristic tale of a world darkened by the destruction of a character named the Artist, only to later have one of his descendants known as the Acolyte attempting to reverse the world's fortunes by sending someone back in time.

"It is with great pleasure that we unveil part 1 of our short film / music video for 'Comedy of Errors,'" says vocalist Shawn Milke. "The video was directed by our great friend Justin Reich and as always he did a killer job! The video takes you on a visual journey through the 3rd installment of our Annabel trilogy. With the third part of the story releasing later this winter, this video is an awesome way to get a glimpse into some of the twists and turns that are soon to haunt your mind. 'Comedy of Errors,' which is one of my favorite Alesana tunes of all time, is featured on our most recent studio album Confessions so check it out!"

The video itself serves up an interesting story and leaves the viewers with a great cliffhanger until the band releases the second part of the clip. For now, watch the video above and stay tuned for the back half coming soon.

As for "Comedy of Errors," as Milke stated, the song is featured on their Confessions album. You can pick up the disc via iTunes.
