Alter Bridge have been knocking around the studio for a few months working on their next album, but they held a listening party Wednesday night (July 6) and in the process revealed the title of their new disc. So get ready for The Last Hero, reportedly arriving in October.

The news was revealed by the Myles Kennedy Fan Page, but was shared by Alter Bridge's own Facebook page using the Myles Kennedy Fan Page piece. The listening party reportedly took place at The Beacham in Orlando, Fla., and the band also performed for those in attendance. However, the live set consisted of tried and true Alter Bridge favorites like "Rise Today," "Ghosts of Days Gone By," "Blackbird," "Addicted to Pain" and more rather than any new songs. Alter Bridge revealed just last month that they had inked a new deal with Napalm Records. This came as the band was wrapping up the production for their The Last Hero disc. The group once again worked alongside longtime producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette on the album.

The band is currently out on tour in advance of the new record. They're joining Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin for their summer dates, with shows booked through Aug. 24. After that, the band will play a handful of September and October festivals, before packing up and heading off to Europe for dates in November and December. The group will kick off their 2017 by taking part in the annual ShipRocked Cruise in January. See all of the band's touring plans laid out here.
