Andrew W.K. to Include Pieces of Dirty Jeans, Unwashed Hair + More in Reissue of ‘I Get Wet’

Andrew W.K. is a weird dude. Weird, but awe-inspiring. The party rock frontman, motivational speaker and television host has always possessed a special connection with his fans, so to continue that powerful and bizarre connection, Andrew W.K. will be including locks of his unwashed hair, pieces of his filthiest, hard-partying jeans and even an autographed plane ticket left over from a trip he took from Prague to New York City. These goodies will be dispersed at random inside copies of the deluxe edition reissue of his 2001 album, 'I Get Wet.'

It was announced earlier this year that 'I Get Wet' would see a special 10th anniversary re-release via Century Media Records, but it has only just been revealed that 500 rare, autographed deluxe double albums will be unleashed, containing the strange collectors items.

For most recipients of the 'I Get Wet' deluxe edition, they will receive a piece of Andrew W.K.'s admittedly filthy jeans, which have been chopped into 496 individual pieces. Only three lucky buyers will receive a lock of Andrew W.K.'s again, admittedly filthy, hair. Finally, those who buy the deluxe reissue will have a small chance at finding the used and autographed plane ticket in their CD. Think of it like Willy Wonka's golden ticket, only there's not a chocolate factory inside the airport … which you won't be able to get into anyway.

Andrew W.K. explains his vision behind the odd inclusions. "I wanted to give a piece of myself and this party to everyone who got one of these limited editions," explains Mr. W.K. "Originally, I had wanted to include used tissues and one of my hangnails, but I was told that international customs doesn't allow sending human flesh or bodily fluids in music packaging. So I decided to give the party people my dirty white jeans and hair instead.  My jeans and hair give me party power-kind of like Dumbo's magic feather.  They're blessed with the power of positive partying, and I hope that these objects bring even more magical partying to anyone who possesses them."
