Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack is revisiting his solo alter ego Andy Black, showing off a poppier side to his musical influences. Biersack recently revealed that a new album called The Shadow Side would be arriving in May and now we've got a video for the lead single, "We Don't Have To Dance."

As seen in the clip above, Biersack is shot in black and white in scenes around a Hollywood Hills estate, setting the mood for the basis of the song. As you can hear in the lyrics, Andy Black seems not to be interested in the often forced formalities of these high brow gatherings, singing his truth while delivering a very catchy beat.

Biersack has stated that his Andy Black music leans more poppier than his work with Black Veil Brides, joking that it's been described as "goth Springsteen." For the new album, the singer worked with producer John Feldmann and welcomed such special guests as Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump, 5 Seconds of Summer's Ashton Irwin, All Time Low's Rian Dawson and Good Charlotte's Joel Madden among others.

The Shadow Side is due May 6 via Republic Records and is currently available to pre-order via Amazon, iTunes and GooglePlay. You can look for Biersack on tour as Andy Black beginning in May, first with a brief U.K tour, followed by a lengthy North American run that continues into July. See all of his dates here.
