As I Lay Dying have released their lyric video for their new track ‘Cauterize’ off their upcoming album ‘Awakened,’ which is due out Sept. 25 via Metal Blade Records.

The band is also shooting a music video for another new tune off of ‘Awakened’ called ‘A Great Foundation’ in Los Angeles. From the Facebook description alone, the video sounds like an interesting one already. “We need 100 athletic men for extras on set. Be prepared for a high energy shoot and to hear another new track from the record (over and over again)!”

As I Lay Dying are still in the recording process for ‘Awakened’ with producer Bill Stevenson, who is also the drummer for punk-rock veterans the Descendents.

The forthcoming disc will be the band’s follow-up to 2011 compilation album ‘Decas,’ which included three new tracks and covers of Judas Priest, Slayer and other artists.

As I Lay Dying fans will get to see the band perform some new tracks from ‘Awakened’ on the 2012 Mayhem Festival, which will be hitting North America from June 30-Aug. 5 and will feature bands such as Slipknot, Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax and many more.
