On Nov. 8 As I Lay Dying released ‘Decas,’ their 10 year anniversary EP, which features three new songs along with covers and remixes.

One of the covers on ‘Decas’ is their take on the Judas Priest classic ‘Electric Eye’ and they just debuted the video for it. Shot in the Mojave desert with director Paul Brown, the video sets up a battle between the band and monster size scorpions that erupt from the sky.

Front man Tim Lambesis spoke to Ultimate-Guitar about making the video, saying, “After a long day of sunburns and drought out in the desert I’m glad to be done fighting scorpions for the filming of 'Electric Eye'.”

He gave props to Judas Priest, admitting, “We came out victorious, but we probably couldn’t have done it without the classic metal inspiration of Halford and Priest’s legendary guitar melodies.”

The band kicks off their 'A Decade of Destruction' tour at the end of the month, check out the dates here and the video below.
