As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis has been freed on $2 million bail after spending three weeks behind bars on murder-for-hire charges. Lambesis is accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife.

According to San Diego's ABC 10 News, the metal singer left Vista Detention Facility in San Diego County this afternoon (May 30), but according to the guidelines set by the court, he will have to wear a GPS tracking device and is to have no contact with his estranged wife Meggan and the couple's three adopted children.

Lambesis was arrested on May 7 when he allegedly tried to hire an undercover detective to murder his wife, offering him cash as well as security codes for the couple's home. During a hearing, in which Lambesis' bail was reduced from $3 million to $2 million, his lawyer declared that the metal vocalist's erratic behavior was directly tied to his steroid use. Lambesis has noticeably packed on a lot of muscle over the past few years.

Needless to say, As I Lay Dying canceled all their remaining 2013 tour dates, including a stint on Killswitch Engage's headlining trek.

Lambesis' next court date will be a readiness conference on June 26.
