Avenged Sevenfold have canceled their upcoming concert in La Crosse, Wis., at the La Cross Center on July 16. The band issued an official statement saying they recently found out that the venue cannot meet the production requirements of their current tour.

The band, known for their impressive stage productions, has promised to return to the area to make up the date, saying, “We will be back to the area soon to bring our fans the kind of show they have come to expect from us.

In other Avenged Sevenfold news, the band is preparing to release their upcoming disc ‘Hail to the King’ on Aug. 27. They previewed a short snippet of the title track with fans earlier this week and singer M. Shadows recently shared some insight on a few of the other new songs on the disc too.

Speaking to Kerrang! magazine, Shadows talked about the song ‘Shepherd of Fire’ saying, “If you just listen to the music, if feels you’ve been taken down to Hell. From the riffs, to the bells ringing, to the horns, to the drumbeat, it feels like you've been dragged down.”

Shadows detailed ‘Requiem’ as “the dark lord coming to save you and resurrecting Hell to do it.”

Keeping with the overall dark tone, the song ‘Planets’ was dubbed “a pure metal attack.” “This song is an intergalactic Darth Vader type thing,” said Shadows.

Avenged Sevenfold's next scheduled show is July 17 at the Rock USA Festival in Oshkosh, Wis.
