Avenged Sevenfold will miss tonight's scheduled performance at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan, Italy, deciding to cancel the show after singer M. Shadows came down with laryngitis.

A posting on Avenged Sevenfold's social media stated, "Due to an illness, the Milan show is cancelled. We feel terrible to miss the amazing fans and will reschedule as soon as possible. More info forthcoming." The post can be seen below.

More information was provided by Live Nation Italy in revealing the cancellation to fans, including the news that it was M. Shadows who was the ailing band member. That post can be viewed below:

Avenged Sevenfold reportedly played an abbreviated set on Monday in Stuttgart, Germany to avoid any further damage to Shadows' voice. At present, the only show affected is the Milan performance tonight (Feb. 21). The band is expected to resume their tour with Disturbed this Thursday (Feb. 23) in Funfhaus, Austria, though the situation is worth monitoring for those who will be attending that show.

Earlier in the tour, bassist Johnny Christ took some time off after the birth of his son. The bassist missed a few shows in Germany while a band tech filled in.

The group is in the midst of a European trek with Disturbed that will carry over into the month of March. See all of their scheduled dates at this location.
