Avenged Sevenfold and Guitar Hero Live have teamed up to bring metalheads and gamers something unlike any other video game experience. Already delivering an in-home rock 'n' roll fantasy with the live spin on the familiar game franchise, the series will feature an in-game show hosted by the members of Avenged Sevenfold, premiering on GHTV tonight (Dec. 22) at 5:30PM PT.

Titled A7X Rock Classics, the show will showcase members of the band taking the gamer through playable tracks for live crowds of some of their favorite songs from the Guitar Hero Live soundtrack. The band will introduce select cuts from Pantera, Megadeth, AFI, Queensryche, Deftones, Faith No More, Tenacious D and more. GHTV will be rebroadcasting the episode over the next week and a full slate of times can be seen below.

Singer M. Shadows commented on the opportunity, stating, “We always want to let fans interact with music in cool ways. But now with GHTV, we can take it a step further and speak directly to players about our favorite songs. It’s like we’re right there with you as you play. It’s a cool experience that’s never been possible in a music game.”

The Guitar Hero Live partnership is just one of Avenged Sevenfold's ventures into the gaming industry. Earlier in the year the act was featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III contributed the Jade Helm score as well as being featured in the game's trailer with the song "Nightmare."

Next year will also see the release of a new album and the first to feature former Bad Religion drummer Brooks Wackerman. Guitarist Zacky Vengeancehas said the new music is "pretty much completely aggro."
