Avril Lavigne Asks for Prayers While Dealing With Health Issues

Pop star Avril Lavigne, the wife of Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, has revealed online that she's been dealing with health issues of late and is asking for prayers.

Lavigne was responding to a Twitter direct message from a fan asking why she's been out of the public eye of late. The message, which was sent from @AvrilMusicChart, asked the singer what she's been doing in the time since her last album and was curious as to whether or not she was in the studio.

The vocalist responded, "I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them [know] why I've been absent. I'm torn as I'm quite private … I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues, so please keep me in your prayers." You can check out the Twitter exchange below.

A rep for Lavigne confirmed to Billboard that the Twitter exchange was real, but did not state what the illness was that Lavigne was suffering from. However, it was revealed that Lavigne is not pregnant.

Though Lavigne is currently dealing with her health issues, her husband, Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, has a newly released album. 'No Fixed Address' is out now and Nickelback will be on the road in 2015. Click the button below for tour details.
