Legendary Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose received a special honor during the band's Dec. 13 show in Utah. West Valley City Mayor Mike Winder walked onstage about an hour into Guns' set and presented Axl Rose with the key to the city.

Guns N' Roses were just recently announced as one of the new inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with acts such as the Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Mayor Winder took the opportunity to congratulate Rose on his latest accomplishment, gifting him with the key to West Valley City.

After receiving the key onstage, Rose asked the mayor, "How long do you stay open?" Replied Winder, "All night for Guns N' Roses." After the presentation, Guns N' Roses broke out their cover version of the immortal Paul McCartney standard 'Live and Let Die.'

GN'R continued to finish their three-hour set in Utah with the classic 'Paradise City,' ending the show at 2 AM after a blistering 30-plus song set.

In other Guns news, it has been confirmed that ex-Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan will be opening for GN'R with his group Loaded on Dec. 16 in Seattle and Dec. 17 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
