It's Axl Rose's world and we all just live in it and play by his rules, even in 2011. Apparently, the temperamental and interview-shy Rose, who is famous for his tardiness and doing things on his clock and whenever the hell he feels like it, granted an hour-long interview to Eddie Trunk of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show' in the wee hours of this morning (Oct. 30). The interview took place at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Fla., around 7 in the morning!

That's what we call a big "get." The interview is scheduled to air on Friday, Nov. 11, on VH1 Classic. Oh, and in case you are wondering about last night's 'That Metal Show,' it was a repeat of the Jani Lane episode, and that's why there is no recap this week on Loudwire.

This particular interview certainly did not go off without a hitch – this is the elusive W. Ax Rose we're talking about here. The chat was slated to take place the previous afternoon. Trunk tweeted his displeasure about arriving at 3 p.m. and having to wait until 5:30 a.m. to find out if Rose was game to speak on camera. These things happen in the rock 'n' roll world, kids!

Then as the sun was coming up, Trunk tweeted, "5 years after the radio interview, axl rose has just done an hour interview for TMS. History made. Will air 11/11 on VH1 Classic. Get ready."

Rose has rarely given interviews in the past several years. He did next-to-no promo for 'Chinese Democracy' upon its Nov. 2008 release. We're not going to speculate as to whether or not that's a key reason that the album sort of sank like a stone after all the fan-fare and hype leading up to the release, but it's a logical conclusion.

You can review Trunk's comments regarding the matter and last night's events via his Twitter feed.
