Baroness Discuss New Album ‘Yellow & Green,’ Punk Rock Roots + More

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire

At their New York City tour date with Meshuggah and Decapitated, we had the chance to speak with frontman John Baizley and guitarist Pete Adams from Savannah, Georgia, metal outfit Baroness.

Baroness put on a masterful performance on May 23, playing to a packed house at NYC’s Terminal 5. But beforehand, we spoke with the six-string strummers backstage about their upcoming record, ‘Yellow & Green,’ being compared to metal titans Mastodon in terms of their sonic progression, the band’s deeply rooted passion for punk rock and much more.
