Bassist Tony Campos' estrangement from Static-X seems to be a permanent one, as the musician has responded to fans asking about his absence from the band's upcoming tour.

Campos told TheGauntlet.com, "I keep getting asked about this Static-X / Prong tour coming up, so I want to clear up a few things. I have no interest in working with Wayne Static, now, or anytime in the foreseeable future, so I will not be part of this version of Static-X."

Interestingly enough, Campos has been a participant with Static-X's tour partners Prong in recent years, but he adds, "As for Prong, I will not be performing with them due to my current commitments to Soulfly. However I do look forward to working with Prong again in the near future. If you haven't checked out 'Carved Into Stone' yet, what the hell are you waiting for?"

In Loudwire's recent interview with Wayne Static about the current Static-X lineup, he stated about Campos, "You know, we’ve never been that close. It was always more of a business relationship, that’s how it has always been. We all kind of had our chemistry onstage and then had our own lives separate from the band."

As for Soulfly, the group will be back on tour beginning July 31 in San Francisco and have shows booked through mid-August.
