The high seas were rocking during the recent annual 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise. Members of several different bands got onstage for an all-star jam session of the Motorhead classic 'Ace of Spades' (watch a fan-shot video above).

Those playing the song included Behemoth frontman Nergal, Cronos from Venom, Destruction's Mike Sifringer and Specki T.D. from In Extremo.

In a post on his Facebook page, Nergal commented on the cruise: "70k tons of metal. What a trip! I loved And can't wait to do that cruise again ... Super friendly atmosphere only proves once again that metal comunity equals the coolest people on earth. Period! My personal highlights: both Annihilator shows, jamming out with Cronos, Mike from Destruction and Jeff from Annihilator, morning omelettes with salmon, hanging out with Peter Beste, one of the most remarkable photographers in the scene!"

In other Behemoth news, the band's official biography will be released in February. 'Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors' was written by Lukasz Dunaj. The nearly 500 page hardcover tome tells the story of Behemoth and includes quotes and anecdotes from past and present members along with numerous photos. Pre-orders are available here.

Here's an excerpt from the book where Nergal recounts buying his first guitar: "The first communion was a very important moment for me. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Of course, not as a religion experience - I didn't understand anything and couldn't care less. Same as all the other kids. We all stood there with our votive candles and waited for one thing. Cash. The first communion must be one moment when you get the most money you're ever going to get as a child. And for this money, I bought myself my first electric guitar. Not a bike, no Legos - a guitar."

Behemoth kick off a co-headlining North American tour with Cannibal Corpse tonight (Jan. 28) in New Orleans. The trek wraps up March 7 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
