Praise the metal gods! Between the Buried and Me have just released a new song, "Memory Palace" (listen above). The 10-minute piece of progressive metal goodness is the first track BTBAM have revealed from their upcoming seventh studio album, Coma Ecliptic.

We've been salivating for new Between the Buried and Me material since the release of The Parallax II: Future Sequence, which we named the Best Metal Album of 2012. Coma Ecliptic seemingly breaks away from BTBAM's Parallax storyline, which various members of the band hinted at during a 2013 interview with Loudwire.

"Memory Palace" is yet another epic from Between the Buried and Me, delivering heavy prog and unexpected detours BTBAM have become celebrated for since the release of Colors in 2007. Frontman Tommy Rogers also adopts a more abrasive guttural vocal style in "Memory Palace" compared to more recent works. Fans can only imagine how "Memory Palace" will fit into the full Coma Ecliptic album, which clocks in at just under 70 minutes.

You can buy "Memory Palace" right now from iTunes. And seriously, 10 new minutes of BTBAM music is easily worth $1.29. Coma Ecliptic is currently scheduled for a July 7 release date.
