You may have seen a TV ad (watch above) for the upcoming movie '300: Rise of an Empire' and heard a familiar song. It's Black Sabbath's classic tune 'War Pigs.' The track gets even more exposure starting at the 1:10 mark in the theatrical trailer for the film (watch below).

'300: Rise of an Empire' is a follow-up to the 2007 movie '300,' which starred Gerard Butler and had a worldwide gross of more than $456 million.

According to the movie’s official site, “this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield - on the sea - as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.”

Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel, the film stars Rodrigo Santoro returning as Xerxes, Sullivan Stapleton as Themistokles, Jack O'Connell as Calisto, Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo, David Wenham as Dilios, and Eva Green as Artemisia. It's directed by Noam Murro, and scheduled to be released March 7.

And if hearing 'War Pigs' whets your appetite for more Black Sabbath, there's good news. A bunch of their classic albums like 'Paranoid,' which includes the song 'War Pigs,' are now available on iTunes for the first time.
