2011 proved to be a magical year with the original Black Sabbath lineup officially announcing their reunion on Nov. 11, but it's 2012 that Tony Iommi is most looking forward to.

The Sabbath guitarist recently checked in on his website with a message to fans about the new year:

"First of all a BIG thank you to everyone who turned out in the cold and queued for the book signings, it was great to see you all.

It was a big year for me with my book coming out and getting back together with the guys.  A new album and live shows means there's a lot for me to look forward to in 2012, I hope the New Year brings you opportunities as well."

Sabbath also checked in with their own holiday musical message, listen to it here.

The new Black Sabbath album is slated for a fall release date, but the band has reportedly already hit the studio with legendary producer Rick Rubin.

They have announced the first 15 dates of their upcoming world tour as well, beginning in Moscow on May 18 and running through June 24 in Milan, Italy with many more dates to come.
