Blessthefall Move ‘Bodies’ at NYC Tour Stop With Silverstein, The Amity Affliction + More
To say that Blessthefall bring the heat when they’re onstage would be an understatement. Within the very first song, the majority of the crowd, as well as the band members, embraced the perspiration. The band is touring in promotion of their latest album, ‘Hollow Bodies,’ and began their set with new songs ‘Exodus,’ the title track, ‘Déjà vu,’ ‘Youngbloods’ and ‘You Wear a Crown But You’re No King.’
The band as a whole are vigorous and relentless as performers, as vocalist Beau Bokan is one of the most dynamic frontmen you can see live. He also spent some time serenading the front row as avid fans sang older favorites ‘2.0,’ ‘What’s Left of Me,’ ‘ Bottomfeeder’ and ‘Hey Baby, Here’s that Song You Wanted.’
Canadian rockers Silverstein took the stage as direct support and got a lot of East Coast love during their set. With six studio albums and nearly 15 years together as a band, their chemistry onstage is apparent. Sweat-soaked, they performed for about an hour to their very ravenous fans who crowdsurfed and bounced throughout their set..
If one didn’t know better they might have taken the Australian band members of the Amity Affliction as the headliner. They have a fanbase that is beyond passionate, so much so that after their intense set, frontman Joel Birch addressed the crowd to say that it was one of the best American shows they’ve ever played.
It’s no secret that New York was very fond of Secrets. They were the first band of the night to test the barricades and open up the floor. One reoccurring crowdsurfer was even brave enough to surf with his iPad to try and capture the moment.
Heartist kicked off the night with an enthusiastic set and gained a lot of new fans in New York City. They even invited up a young man, who formally asked the girl he brought with him to the show out to prom. Heartist were personable onstage and very memorable to watch live.
