Bring Me the Horizon singer Oli Sykes has revealed that he has ruptured his right vocal chord, forcing the band to cancel the last two dates of their "First Love" tour with Thrice and FEVER 333.

Last night (Feb. 14), Bring Me the Horizon made their late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live, right as their "First Love" tour was winding down. Bassist Matt Kean was notably absent, fueling speculation that this stir was the cause for the canceled Las Vegas and Arizona dates. Clearing up the picture, Bring Me the Horizon posted the following message from Sykes on Twitter:

Hey everyone,

I'm gutted to announce we have to cancel the remainder of our American tour. I've ruptured my right vocal chord, and I've been told if I don't rest it immediately I'm in serious danger of doing permanent damage. I've been trying my best to fulfill our commitments as I really hate letting you guys down, not to mention these shows have been literally the most fun ever — but at this point me singing would be the equivalent of a footballer running on a broken leg.. once again I'm so sorry, I hope you all understand.

FEVER 333 guitarist Stephen Harrison filled in for Kean on the Kimmel performance and you can watch clips of "Mother Tongue" and "Medicine" here.

Bring Me the Horizon's new album, amo, was released Jan. 25 and reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200 charts.
