Cage the Elephant have finalized their fourth studio album, Tell Me I'm Pretty, which is now on schedule for a Dec. 18 street date via RCA Records.

For their latest effort, the band stepped outside of their comfort zone, choosing to go with the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach as their producer instead of longtime knob-turner Jay Joyce. The band recorded the album at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, with Tom Elmhirst mixing the effort after Auerbach oversaw the sessions.

Singer Matt Shultz says of their new disc, "With this record, we wanted to be more transparent. We wanted to capture the sentiment of each song, and whatever emotional response it provoked, to be really honest to that.” The end result is being billed as one of the band's most adventuresome releases to date.

In advance of the album's release, the band has teamed with PledgeMusic for a special pre-order of the disc. Fans can choose to get the disc along with any number of specialty items, including hand-written lyric sheets, test vinyl versions, with signed posters and instruments and more. Check out their PledgeMusic pre-order at this location.

After the exit of guitarist Lincoln Parrish, Cage the Elephant now consists of singer Matt Shultz, his brother -- guitarist Brad Shultz, bassist Daniel Tichenor and drummer Jared Champion. The group also toured with keyboardist Matthan Minster and guitarist Nick Bockrath. At this point, only one holiday radio festival is on their touring schedule, but stay tuned here for touring updates.
