It's six weeks and counting for Avenged Sevenfold and their hit single 'Hail to the King' atop the Loudwire Radio Top 20, but will they make it seven(fold)? There's beginning to be a little movement toward the top of the charts that suggests that they could have a fight on their hands for No. 1.
This weekend, Loudwire Radio host Mike 'Sandman' Sanders welcomes Pop Evil singer Leigh Kakaty to the show. Kakaty talks about the band's video trilogy, which most recently saw the premiere of the clip for 'Deal With the Devil.' He also discusses the band's latest album 'Onyx,' touring, baseball and more. Tune in this weekend to catch Leigh Kakaty on Loudwire Radio. In the meantime, check out the interview below:
There's a new "king" atop the Loudwire Radio Top 20 Countdown. Avenged Sevenfold and the title track from the band's 'Hail to the King' album have claimed the throne at No. 1, ousting Stone Temple Pilots' 'Out of Time' in the process. It was a short run at No. 1 for STP, as their first single with Chester Bennington is back in a familiar spot -- No. 2 -- where it stayed for four weeks before claiming No. 1.
Stone Temple Pilots fans, your patience has been rewarded. The band's first single with new frontman Chester Bennington -- 'Out of Time' -- is the new No. 1 on the Loudwire Radio Top 20 Countdown. After rapidly rising through the charts, the group could have topped out at No. 2. It certainly appeared that way after Five Finger Death Punch's 'Lift Me Up' leapfrogged the band to take No. 1 for the last three weeks, but now the two bands have switched spots with 5FDP falling back to No. 2.
It's a full-on tussle at the top spot of the Loudwire Top 20 Countdown, but so far Five Finger Death Punch have been able to hold off Stone Temple Pilots. Five Finger Death Punch's 'Lift Me Up' spends its third consecutive week at No. 1, while Stone Temple Pilots' 'Out of Time' is going on its fourth straight week at No. 2.
