Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has been troubled as of late, becoming more infamous for his numerous arrests than his music. Scantlin wasn't arrested for this latest incident, but according to various sources, the frontman injured a fan after throwing a microphone into the crowd during a recent show, during which he apparently had a major meltdown.
Powerman 5000 are back! Spider One and his crew are returning with their 'Builders of the Future' album on May 27 and the frontman took a few moments to speak with 'Loudwire Nights' host Full Metal Jackie about the new disc.
European band the Oath are putting out some of the most interesting music today as they take you back decades with their old school, raw and heavy sounds. Loudwire had the opportunity to pick the brain of vocalist Johanna Sadonis, who discussed the group's new self-titled album (available at iTunes) and some of the tracks from the disc. The Black Flag legal matters have come to an end. Last year, Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn sued his former bandmates after they branched off to perform the band's music under the moniker Flag. But Ginn has reportedly come to a legal settlement with his former bandmates that will now allow both acts to continue.
Foo Fighters fans will be happy to know there's a new progress report on the band's next album. The group has been trying (though not entirely successful) to keep their recording details under wraps, but producer Butch Vig says in a new Kerrang! interview (excerpted by NME) that the band is halfway through recording sessions for the disc.
