Jim Root fans, we've got some bad news and some amazing news. Of course, we'll start with the bad news. Stone Sour have announced that Root will not be touring with the band on their upcoming winter tour. However, Root's absence is for good reason, as he's chosen to spend the time writing with Slipknot for the band's next album!

Maynard James Keenan's 50th birthday isn't until May of next year, but the multitalented rocker has already got the day planned. On May 10, 2014, Keenan will celebrate his half-century on Earth by performing with both A Perfect Circle and Puscifer in Los Angeles. Adding to the excitement, L.A. alternative rock band Failure, who recently announced plans to reunite, will also play the celebration.
Pearl Jam concerts are an event for most fans, but one fan in particular got a night he'll never forget during a show in Spokane, Wash. This past Saturday (Nov. 30), Eddie Vedder noticed a fan in the audience holding up a sign saying that he would let the band shave his dreadlocks if they played his request.

On Nov. 26, Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins pleaded guilty to a disturbing number of sex crimes. Many of these crimes involved children, two of which involved infants who were willingly victimized by their own mothers, who were "superfans" of Lostprophets. The band has kept relatively quiet since Watkins' guilty plea, but over the holiday weekend, Lostprophets released an official statement on their former singer.
