Cleveland metal stalwarts Chimaira are in full-on promotion mode for their recently released new album (and eOne debut) 'The Age of Hell.' The band just announced that it will embark on a headline tour that launches Oct. 12 and closes on Nov. 5. Labelmates Impending Doom will support the band alongside Revocation and Rise to Remain.

In addition to the tour, the band has also unveiled the video for 'Year of the Snake.' The clip features the band wailing on their instruments in what looks like a rehearsal space. The members are each moving in slow motion, which only serves to emphasize the intensity of their performance along with the song's carefully cadenced chorus. Frontman Mark Hunter locks eyes with the viewer in an intense, imposing stare. He looks like your worst nightmare from a horror film.

All the hallmarks of metal culture are present in the clip: headbanging, hair whipping, piercing, tattoos, brutal vocals. The video does, however, demonstrate that to be heavy, you don't always have to be ungodly fast.

Despite a revolving door lineup in the past yer or so, which saw long time members like bassist Jim LaMarca, drummer Andols Herrick and electronics specialist Chris Spicuzza quit, Chimaira still look like a tight unit in the 'Year of the Snake' clip.
