Although Corey Taylor's world has been somewhat tumultuous lately with various key band members departing from Slipknot and Stone Sour, the metal singer has some good news to share with everyone. In a new interview, Taylor gives an update on Slipknot's next album, claiming fans "will lose their minds" after hearing it.

The future of Slipknot became questionable once it was revealed that longtime drummer Joey Jordison was no longer a member. However, this hasn't slowed Slipknot down. In fact, the upcoming Slipknot album is beginning to take shape.

"I will say that, at the moment, right now, it feels like a great mesh of 'Iowa' and 'Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)'," Taylor tells Pop Culture Madness. "You've got the gorgeous melodies and the artistic direction of 'Vol. 3' and then you've got the absolute brutality of 'Iowa.' And I think people are gonna lose their minds when they hear it."

Taylor also spoke with Front Row Live Entertainment about the album's progression. "It's a matter of time, trust me. It's gonna be rad … Everything is going exactly how it needs to go. So it's gonna be really awesome." [via Blabbermouth]

In other Slipknot news, even more bands have been added to Knotfest Japan in November. It's been revealed that Lamb of God, In Flames + Five Finger Death Punch and Trivium will play the two-day event that already features Slipknot, Limp Bizkit and Korn.
