Two of modern metal’s top frontmen face off here for a chance to advance into the second round of our Greatest Metal Frontman tournament. Slipknot and Lamb of God have both earned tremendous followings in the metal world, aided by their respective singers.

Corey Taylor is a frontman who has to do very little to command an entire crowd of Slipknot fans. A slight movement of his hand and the crowd erupts before he’s even said anything. He’s a diverse singer capable of ferocious barked vocals and melodic cleans that deliver hooks to Slipknot songs. His clean singing is further showcased in his band Stone Sour, as well.

Randy Blythe is about as energetic as it gets on the stage, stomping around and truly putting a full effort into every performance. His voice is synonymous with Lamb of God’s music and is irreplaceable. It’s tough to match Slipknot’s success, but Blythe's performance rivals Taylor in the studio and onstage.

Corey Taylor or Randy Blythe? Cast your vote for the Greatest Metal Frontman in the poll below! Voting for this round closes on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 11:59PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure that your favorite metal musician wins!
