Over the past few years, Pepper Keenan has called Down his primary home. But the onetime Corrosion of Conformity singer and guitarist recently revealed that he was in talks to rejoin CoC next year.

Corrosion of Conformity have been touring as a three-piece with bassist Mike Dean handling the vocalist duties during Keenan's absence, but it now appears as though the reunion with Keenan will take. Drummer Reed Mullin revealed in a chat with Heavy Blog Is Heavy, "Yeah, we're getting together next year. We're going to do an album and do some touring. We've done this three-piece enough to where we want to start something different."

Mullin says that the reunion will likely take place somewhere closer to the beginning of 2015, with Keenan still having some obligations to Down. In the interim, Corrosion of Conformity will continue touring as a three-piece in support of their recently released 'IX' album.

In Keenan's recent comments, he stated that the band was discussing playing shows in Europe, but he also added that there was still plenty of life left in Down's recent EP which could affect the timing of his return.
