Corrosion of Conformity will release their ninth studio album, 'IX,' on June 24, but there's no need to go without new COC for another three weeks. We've teamed up with the legendary North Carolina act to premiere a new track from 'IX.' Get your ears ready for 'On Your Way.'

After a seven-year gap between albums, Corrosion of Conformity struck again in 2012 with their self-titled album. With COC, there's no telling when you'll get new material, but we're proud to say that Corrosion of Conformity is back in full force.

'On Your Way' is a classic groove-based COC track, delivering a big Southern crunch thanks to guitarist Woody Weatherman. You can hear the influence of Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi in 'On Your Way,' as Weatherman injects strong fills into his verses while blazing the strings for a dirty solo during the bridge.

"This album is another step forward for us," Weatherman says about 'IX.' "It seems like we keep heading more and more toward our rawer live sound with the studio recordings."

Drummer / vocalist Mike Dean adds, "The making of 'IX' was drawn out because of us having to step away to do other projects. I think being forced to step away kept us hungry and then being back on the case with deadlines casting a shadow gave us a 'failure is no option' vibe and that really helped the final product."
