There's a lot of new albums to look forward to this year. If you're looking for new music from Cradle of Filth, however, you're gonna have to wait until 2020 as Dani Filth has give a rough timeline of the band's plans for the successor to 2017's Cryptoriana — The Seductiveness of Decay.

"We'll be writing and compiling new stuff on the road [this year]," said Filth in an interview with Rocknroll Beer Guy (audio below). "We're hoping to get into the studio around November or December. Time of release, possibly August of next year, maybe sooner."

While he later admitted that there is no definite direction taking shape, the singer did offer, "It's sounding great. It's just a step up from the last record, but we're trying to explore new horizons as well — mix some things up a little bit. It's great. What I've heard is awesome. I'm starting to assemble some ideas, string things together. Hopefully being on the road will bring us a lot closer together and [we'll be able to] do stuff in soundcheck, etc."

For now, Cradle of Filth will continue to tour behind Cryptoriana and are set to embark on a lengthy North American tour with Wednesday 13 and Raven Black in March. See those dates below.
