New Orleans sludge band Crowbar have just released a new batch of U.S. tour dates for this April. Taking Prong along on for the ride, Crowbar will embark on their two-week tour beginning on April 5.

As one of the most influential metal bands to come out of the New Orleans scene, Crowbar achieved worldwide notability with their 1993 self-titled album. Produced by Pantera / Down / Superjoint Ritual legend Phil Anselmo, the band were consistently featured on MTV's Headbanger's Ball and famously watched by acclaimed '90s music analysts Beavis and Butt-head.

Crowbar's latest album 'Sever the Wicked Hand' was released on Valentine's Day 2011. The album sold 3,500 copies in its first week of release, and followed the 2005 disc 'Lifesblood for the Downtrodden.'

Tourmates Prong are set to release their new album 'Carved Into Stone' on April 24. The upcoming record was produced by Steve Evetts, who has achieved success and admiration for working with the Dillinger Escape Plan, Symphony X, Sepultura and Hatebreed to name a few.
