Who's ready for more Hevy Devy? The Devin Townsend Project will return to the States in April and May for a mixture of headlining dates and support slots.

It's a quick hitting trek, only lasting two weeks, but fans in 13 markets will get the pleasure of seeing Townsend and his band support their excellent new album Transcendence, a disc that did quite well in our 20 Best Metal Albums of 2016 list. As stated, the tour includes a mix of headlining and support shows, with the band supporting Opeth for part of the run. Thank You Scientist and Oni will open the group's headlining dates.

"Continuing on our run to support Transcendence, we are coming back to America for a quick run with Opeth and Gojira as well as some additional dates to get us to and from those shows," says Townsend. "We are many places this year and are trying to make sure we take advantage of our geographic locations as we roll. The band keeps getting stronger and we look forward to seeing you there!"

Transcendence was recorded at the Armoury Studios in Vancouver with Townsend and Adam "Nolly" Getgood overseeing production. The disc has already yielded such standouts as "Stormbending" and "Truth." See all of their scheduled shows below.
