Congrats to Disturbed, as their classic song 'Stupify' bested Papa Roach's 'Last Resort' in a tight match of 2000 singles in the Classic Cage Match. The heavy driving guitar from Dan Donegan and rhythmically lyrical vocal delivery of David Draiman on 'Stupify' still stands up well over a decade since its release. The song will now advance to face another massive song from 2000.

Godsmack kicked off promotion of their 2000 album 'Awake' in the fall of that year with the title track from the disc. In the years since its release, 'Awake' has received plenty of play on both TV shows and commercials, most famously turning up in the U.S. Navy 'Accelerate Your Life' spot. The hard-driving and heavily percussive opening made Godsmack's 'Awake' instantly recognizable and one of their biggest hits.

Who will be victorious? That's up to you. The winning band will advance to face a new opponent. So turn the volume all the way up to 11, listen to these classics once more and then vote for your favorite between Disturbed's 'Stupify' and Godsmack's 'Awake.'

(This Cage Match will run until Friday, Jan. 24, at 2PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!)

Rules of Classic Cage Match:

Classic Cage Match songs must be at least 10 years old. Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a band remains the reigning champ for five straight cage matches, they are entered into the Loudwire Classic Cage Match Hall of Fame.
