Edsel Dope has been looking back at Dope's early years and the group has put together quite the retrospective package for fans that will arrive in December. The group has announced Dope: The Early Years 1997 / 1998 to coincide with their 20th anniversary as a band.

The set includes music, an original story book and more. The book itself is 32 pages filled with never before seen photos accompanied by Edsel's personal stories of how the band began back in New York City all those years ago.

On the music side, you'll get 20 remastered songs, including "Little Fish," "Spine for You," "Wish," "Voodoo Crush," "Debonair," "S--t Life," "Pig Society," "Intervention," "Wake Up," "Kimberly's Ghost," "I am Nothing," "F--k the Police," "Everything Sucks," "America the Pitiful" and "Sick." Also included are four previously unreleased songs titled "Same Old Story," "Pseudo Trash," "Familiar Ways" and "Dead Men Walking." These are the original bedroom demos that led to the band's rise in the New York club scene.

"I can’t believe that it’s been 20 years since I started this band back in 1997," says Dope. "I couldn’t be more excited to share this unique package, along with the true / uncensored story of how it all begin. This was something that only a small community of people in NYC were able to share with us, back in the day. To be able to bring this to our fans all across the world 20 years later is surreal for me. I designed the entire package myself and I went to great lengths to create something that our Die Hard fans would greatly appreciate."

In addition to the music and story book, those who purchase the package will get a recreation of Dope's first ever concert poster from their sold out debut show at New York's Elbow Room on March 7, 1998. Each of the posters are autographed by Edsel Dope. There's also a limited edition "Established in 1997" t-shirt and hoodie available. Get details on all of the bundle options for the set here. All packages will ship on or before Dec. 1. See a trailer for the set above.

And be sure to look for Dope on tour this fall. They'll be playing the Monster High tour with (hed) p.e. and Ill Nino joining on select dates. See their stops here.
