Eddie Vedder to Play Barack Obama Fundraiser

Eddie Vedder will perform at a Barack Obama fundraiser that's taking place this Thursday (Sept. 20) in Tampa, Fla. The Pearl Jam frontman will be the entertainment for the night as part of the Hillsborough County Democratic Party reception.

The event is being hosted by Lisa DeBartolo and her husband Donn Miggs with those RSVP-ing to the event receiving the exact location of the fundraiser. Entry to the event starts with a $20,000 donation. DeBartolo is the daughter of former San Francisco 49ers owner Edward DeBartolo Jr. and the executive vice president of DeBartolo Holdings LLC.

In other news, bassist Jeff Ament recently revealed that Pearl Jam are at the midway point when it comes to their next album. "We’re halfway through. We have a ton of ideas. It’s just a matter of us, everybody clearing enough space to finish it up," Ament told Fuse TV. The great thing at this point is we’re not really in a hurry to do anything. We kind of do things as naturally as we can.”

The band is also set to play a fundraiser for Montana Senator Jon Tester later this year.
