Dutch symphonic metal band Epica and Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie will be joining forces for a fall co-headlining tour. The opening band will be The Agonist. The trek kicks off Sept. 8 in Baltimore, and traverses the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up Oct. 1 in New York.

Epica vocalist Simone Simons says, “We are ecstatic to finally return to North America. It is time to nurture our long-distance relationship with our fans over in North America. We'll have a wonderful time together and will perform songs spanning our entire discography. You guys better be ready for us.”

Eluveitie frontman Chrigel Glanzmann adds, ”We're 8 months into the ‘Origins’ World Tour now and far from getting tired! We can't wait to finally return to the USA and Canada; especially because we'll return alongside the mighty Epica! By Toutatis, this is gonna be f--king awesome!"

It has been a while since Epica have been in North America. Their 2014 tour with Machine Head was canceled. The band is touring in support of their latest album The Quantum Enigma, which was released in May of 2014.

Eluveitie's album Origins was also released in 2014, and became their first chart-topper, landing at No. 1 on the Swiss album chart and also cracked the Top 10 in Germany.

VIP tickets that include meet and greets, exclusive merchandise and other perks will go on sale Wednesday, May 27 at 10AM local time. General tickets go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10AM local time.
