Faith No More's debut album We Care a Lot was released in 1985, and the long out of print release will get the deluxe reissue treatment on Aug. 19. One of the extras on the album is a 1986 performance of "The Jungle" at I-Beam in San Francisco, and you can watch the video of the performance above.

In addition to a remastered version of the original album, the We Care a Lot (Deluxe Band Edition) also includes nine bonus tracks including demos, new mixes and live songs.

“This was an album that started as a demo, before any label had any interest in us,” says bassist Bill Gould. “There were a couple of reasons we decided to release this now: first of all, it’s been 20 years since it has been commercially available. Secondly, when cleaning out my basement, I discovered the original master reels, and we all thought that resurrecting this from the original tapes would be a great way to reintroduce We Care a Lot into the world."

Gould continues, "Lastly, this has been a band effort; we are releasing this in the same way as we recorded it, deciding everything amongst ourselves and getting our hands deep into the nuts and bolts… just like we used to.”

The album is available for pre-order at this location, and also via iTunes.
