As the presidential primary races heat up, many celebrities and entertainers have expressed their support for one candidate or another. Democrat Hillary Clinton has garnered plenty of endorsements from celebrities, but at least one rocker is throwing his weight behind Republican Donald Trump.

Zoltan Bathory has posted some tweets praising The Donald:

When it comes to political issues, Bathory has spoken out in the past. He's a staunch supporter of gun rights, and spoke about the issue in a 2014 interview. "The second amendment makes all the other ones possible," Bathory explains. "But let’s extend this; it’s not just about the rights that are given to you by a piece of paper. When your life is in actual danger, you don’t care about any paper; you will just defend your life no matter what it takes. It’s about defending yourself and your family. You should be able to do that."

Bathory continues, "Some people say that owning a gun is uncivilized and brute, but we can look at that issue from a completely different perspective; maybe gun ownership actually made us more civilized, since guns act as equalizers. All of a sudden a physically superior person cannot simply abuse a weaker one, since the gun will act as a deterrent."

In somewhat related news, Five Finger Death Punch recently launched a contest to have fans remake their "Jekyll and Hyde" single. One of the submissions mixes bits of Donald Trump's speeches with the song. You can check out the remix, dubbed "Donald Death Punch (Jekyll and Hyde Trump Mix)," posted by Pure Grain Audio below.

5FDP are currently on the road with Papa RoachIn This Moment and From Ashes to New in support of their new album Got Your Six. The disc debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, their third album in a row to do so.
