Following the success of the Foo Fighters recent crowd-sourced concert in Richmond, Va., a group of Birmingham, England fans have begun a Kickstarter campaign to get the band to play a show in their city.

The massive campaign has already raised over £70,000 (the equivalent of $114,000) with over 600 backers, according to NME.com. A pledge of £50 ($81) is required to get a ticket to the prospective show although smaller donations will be accepted to support the cause.

The Kickstarter campaign organized by Kelly Gaffney is “raising funds to produce a fan funded show within the U.K. as part of the 2015 tour after the release of Foo Fighters' album ‘Sonic Highways.’ The aim is for this to be held in Birmingham U.K.; the venue could change depending on capacity restrictions but will be clearly communicated to all backers prior to any changes.” Gaffney also says that the campaign will profit from the show. “Every penny of this will be going into the project,” she said. “Every member of the team running the project will be doing so free of charge -- this is a Not for Profit project.”

Their goal is to raise £150,000 [$245,000] to pull off the concert, which of course will then await final approval from the Foos, who recently played a trio of club shows in the U.K., leading up to their headlining concert at the closing ceremonies of the Invictus Games. The campaign has a deadline of Nov. 17 to raise all funds for the proposed concert.

Last week, Foo Fighters played their first show in Richmond, Va. since 1999, at the successful crowd-sourced gig. During the concert Mayor Dwight C. Jones officially called Sept. 17, 2014 ‘Foo Fighters’ Day RVA’ in the Virginia capital.

Meanwhile, The Foo Fighters will release their new effort ‘Sonic Highways: The Album’ on Nov. 10. It is available for pre-order here. The band filmed the recording sessions for an upcoming eight-episode HBO series titled ‘Sonic Highways,’ which will debut on Oct. 17, airing Fridays at 11 PM ET.
