Frances Bean Cobain Is Engaged?

Is Frances Bean Cobain getting married? That's the rumor started by the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and her boyfriend recently when they both apparently changed their Facebook relationship status to "engaged" and eluded to marriage in a handful of posts on the social networking site.

Nineteen-year-old Frances and her beau, singer Isaiah Silva of the band the Rambles, have been dating for more than a year -- and apparently plan on spending many more together. "Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world," Frances wrote in one of her Facebook posts.

The newspaper OC Weekly did some digging around and managed to find a picture of Silva singing onstage with shaggy, bleach blonde hair and wearing a stripped, baggy sweater -- and promptly declared that he "look(s) remarkably like Kurt Cobain," dubbing the union "creepy." Another comparison spread features Kurt and Isaiah both sporting dyed purple hair.

Little is known these days about Frances, who appeared in an edgy photo spread followed by another glamorous spread around the time of her 19th birthday in August but is very secretive about her exact whereabouts. Legally emancipated from her mom Courtney Love before her 18th birthday, various unconfirmed reports have placed Frances both as a student at Bard College in upstate New York and as an ex-pat living in London.

One thing known for sure is that she inherited approximately 37 percent of her late father's estate when she turned 18, and earlier this year plunked down $1.8 million for a four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath mansion in Los Angeles. Perhaps the two are getting ready to nest in style?
