California stoner rock vets Fu Manchu have put an end to their studio drought. The quartet last gave us Gigantoid in 2014 and have set Clone of the Universe as the title of the follow-up record. It promises to be one of the most adventurous records in the band's discography.

The album, out Feb. 9, will feature seven new tracks, with the closer, "Il Mostro Atomico" being by far the longest of the band's career, clocking in at just over 18 minutes in length. The rest of the album is padded with the expected punchy runtimes between two and five minutes as Fu Manchu's bass-centric groovin' and hook-laden writing is set to spill across the remainder of their 11th full length offering. Check out the track listing and artwork below.

“We are excited to get out and play this stuff, especially 'Il Mostro Atomico,'” comments frontman Scott Hill. “We think it’s some the strongest music we’ve ever done. We really love the overall sound of the album and having Alex (Lifeson, Rush) play on it is just incredible. It gives it that special validation for the idea that we had to try something like a side long song.”

Fu Manchu will play two album release gigs on Feb. 9 and 10 in California and will ship out to Europe for a headlining tour that begins on March 2 in Paris. The run will extend through March 27 and the band will return stateside for a series of headlining dates between May 1 and May 22. For a complete list of stops, head to the bottom of the page.
