In the rock world, few musicians have been more outspoken against President Trump than Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong. After Trump’s recent “Nuclear Button” tweet about North Korea, Armstrong finally had enough and took to Instagram, calling for Donald Trump’s impeachment.

Trump’s Twitter account has been a source of stress for some and entertainment for others. Never has the leader of the free world been so direct with his stream of consciousness, and one of Trump’s latest tweets scared the crap out of Billie Joe. Yesterday afternoon (Jan. 2) President Trump wrote:

The Green Day frontman took a screenshot of Trump’s tweet and posted it to Instagram with the caption:

This isn’t funny. This is our president acting like a madman drunk on power THREATENING to kill innocent starving people by way of nuclear war. The 25th amendment needs to be enforced. This man is sick and unfit for office. I don’t care if your liberal or conservative.. this has to stop . Please share #impeachtrump

Armstrong is referencing Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, which allows a sitting President to be removed from office if a group of certain government officials decides he is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

In September 2017, Armstrong joined filmmaker Michael Moore on Broadway for a special interview. In front of a live audience, Armstrong said Trump was “batshit crazy” and that he exhibited fascist tendencies.
