Green Day's 2004 concept album 'American Idiot' would become a career defining effort for the group. And while singles such as 'American Idiot,' 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams,' 'Holiday,' and 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' would achieve bigger chart success, it was the five-part suite, 'Jesus of Suburbia,' which caught the attention of many with its epic storytelling.

 

The song served as the centerpiece of the 'American Idiot' disc, which is still regarded as one of the best rock albums of the 21st century .
